Soil contains useful micro-organisms which are destroyed by continuous use of fertilizers and pesticides. Thus equilibrium in nature is devastated and has resulted in pests and diseases becoming more virulent. Moreover, these pests and pathogens are fast developing resistance to chemical control.
Organic Farming offers a natural alternative to nutritional needs of crop husbandry by providing the inputs which are organically/ biologically produced. It is a safe alternative to sustainable agriculture and protect environment. Organic farming is fast catching up in India. Demand for organically produced products is on the increase and people are looking for chemical-free healthy food. Therefore, these products fetch premium price.
Realizing this trend, Kaveri Seeds has set up a special research to produce chemical-free, eco-friendly organic pesticides, fungicides and yield enhancers.
