The personal information collected includes your name, date of birth, email address, residential address and two forms of identity. If you choose to provide us with personal information it will be used in support of the intended purposes stated at the time at which it was collected, and are subject to any preferences indicated to you. In the event that Kaveri Seeds wishes to use your personal information for any other purpose, it will identify such purpose and obtain your consent before doing so, except when the new purpose is required by law in which case Kaveri Seeds will inform you about which personal details were provided and to which agency they were provided.

Customer Support

For providing phone support, the customer will be expected to provide their phone number that will be used to call back to the customer. This avoids the need for the customer to be on hold and also allows us to be efficient in supporting customers in a number of countries in a cost effective manner. The phone numbers will not be

used for any other purpose apart from providing support in that particular instance. The phone number will not be given to any other third party and will neither be used by Kaveri Seeds for any purpose. For providing support over the next incident, the customer will be expected to provide the phone number again unless the customer opts for the phone number to be saved for call back purposes.

Please note that Kaveri Seeds and its representatives will never ask you to reveal your password. If anyone asks for your password by phone or by email, or on any website other than kaveriseeds.in, refuse and immediately report this to info@kaveriseeds.in.

Mobile Application — Kaveri Defenders

Kaveri Seeds Company Limited operates the Kaveri Defenders mobile application for its field staff and authorized employees. The app collects and transmits the following to Kaveri Seeds servers:

Location data (including background location). With your consent, the app collects precise GPS location — including in the background, even when the app is closed or not in use — at periodic intervals (approximately every 30 minutes) after you check in for your working day. It is used to verify field attendance (check-in/check-out), record GPS for crop inspection, seed-sowing and farmland mapping. Background collection begins only after you accept the in-app disclosure and grant the “Allow all the time” location permission, and stops at check-out. You may revoke this permission in your device settings at any time.

Camera and photos. The app uses your camera to capture work-related images (attendance photos, field/land photos, and identity/bank documents during farmer registration), which are uploaded to Kaveri Seeds.

Identity information (grower/farmer registration). When registering grower land, the app collects the grower’s name, mobile number and Aadhaar number, used to register growers and their land. This information is provided by or for the grower with their consent.

Contact and account information. Your name, email/username, and mobile number, used to authenticate you and operate the app.

Travel and claim information. Odometer (KM) readings and expense/claim amounts and bills, used to process tour and travel claims.

Device information. A device identifier and a Firebase push-notification (FCM) token, used to secure your account and deliver notifications.

How we use and share data. Data is used for employee activity monitoring, farmer/grower management, payments, reporting and app functionality. We share data with service providers that help operate the app (e.g. Google Firebase for notifications, Google Maps for mapping) and where required by law. We do not sell your data.

Data retention and deletion. Data is retained for as long as required for the above purposes or by law. To request access to or deletion of your data or account, email info@kaveriseeds.in; we will respond within a reasonable period.

Security. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
